Certified Phlebotomist

Our client is seeking an experienced Certified Phlebotomist to support a busy outpatient clinic in McKinney, TX. This role is dedicated exclusively to performing blood draws in a high-volume patient care environment. The ideal candidate will have excellent venipuncture skills, a compassionate bedside manner, and the ability to work efficiently while providing exceptional patient care.

Location: McKinney, TX
Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Preferred arrival time: 7:45 AM; overtime approved as needed)
Employment Type: Temporary Contract
Contract Duration: Minimum 1-month+ temp/contract

Pay Rate: $ 19.08/hr.


Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and blood specimen collection for patients throughout the day.
• Ensure accurate patient identification and specimen labeling.
• Follow established specimen collection, handling, and transportation procedures.
• Maintain patient comfort and provide excellent customer service during the blood draw process.
• Observe infection prevention and universal precautions at all times.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Accurately document specimen collection and related patient information.
• Adhere to all HIPAA, OSHA, and organizational policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure efficient patient flow and timely specimen collection.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience
• Current Phlebotomy Certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Excellent venipuncture and specimen collection skills
• Strong attention to detail and patient identification practices
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience working in an outpatient clinic or physician office
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to put patients at ease
