About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Cardiopulmonary Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour shifts, rotating weekends Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 5 years in newborn/NICU and at least 3 years in acute Respiratory Care medicine License: Licensed to practice respiratory care in the State of Colorado Certifications: Current BLS/ACLS and NRP certifications; Registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care; Member of the American Academy of Respiratory Care (AARC) Must-Have: Comprehensive knowledge and skill in respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and newborn patients Description: Provide comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Administer care under the direction of ordering physicians and the supervision of the Cardiopulmonary Director. Possess and demonstrate knowledge and skill in areas of respiratory care for adult, pediatric, and newborn patients. Have a working knowledge of Pulmonary Function Studies and the administration of testing. Assist in the orientation and training of new clinical staff to familiarize them with respiratory therapy modalities and equipment. Engage in community education and development.
