OB/GYN-PRN Hospitalist

Job Description Munson Healthcare’s Women’s Health Service Line is seeking casual OB/GYN physicians to provide call coverage at Gaylord, Grayling, Charlevoix, and Cadillac hospitals in Michigan. This per diem opportunity offers flexibility and coverage for food, travel, and lodging. Responsibilities Minimum of 3, 24‑hour call shifts per month Mileage reimbursement Lodging and food reimbursement Credentialed at all sites Work with a collaborative team of physicians and Certified Nurse Midwives Triage or OB ED services IP rounding on assigned and unassigned OB and GYN patients GYN consultations for hospitalized patients and the main ED Surgically assist other OBs or gynecologists Coverage generally unrestricted depending on hospital setup Provide call coverage and L&D support; interpret EFM strips Stand‑by for deliveries Perform amniotomies & sonograms IUPC/FSE placement Monitoring of laboring patients for private OBs EHR Oracle Health Qualifications MD or DO, successful completion of an approved U.S. residency in OB/GYN Board eligible/certified for OB/GYN practice in Michigan NRP, BLS, EFM certified Will apply for and be granted clinical privileges via MHC credentialing before rendering services Good judgment and problem‑solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to make independent medical decisions Time management and organizational skills Legal Statements Munson Healthcare grants equal employment opportunity to all qualified persons without regard to race, color, national origin, sex, disability, age, religion, genetic information, marital status, height, weight, gender, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, veteran status, or any other legally protected category.
