Role Summary & Impact
As a Senior Manager, Amazon Media & Growth, you will serve as the lead Amazon media expert within WPP Unite, driving both performance marketing excellence and category growth strategy for one of our most strategic client partnerships. You will be responsible for optimizing Amazon media investments, identifying growth opportunities, and connecting retail media performance to broader commercial and brand objectives.

In this role, you will act as the internal authority on Amazon advertising, providing strategic guidance, conducting performance audits, and partnering closely with brand, sales, finance, and agency teams. You will ensure retail media investments support full-funnel growth while translating marketplace insights into actionable business recommendations. The ideal candidate combines deep hands-on Amazon media expertise with strong commercial acumen, analytical rigor, and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions.
Skills and Experience

• Lead Amazon Sponsored Ads and DSP strategy, including Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and broader retail media investments.
• Conduct in-depth audits of campaign structure, keyword strategy, bidding approaches, budget allocation, and search-term performance to identify opportunities for optimization and growth.
• Partner with agency teams to improve campaign effectiveness while ensuring accountability against performance goals and business objectives.
• Develop and optimize full-funnel retail media strategies, including search, competitor conquesting, retargeting, prospecting, and new-to-brand acquisition initiatives.
• Evaluate and recommend budget allocation strategies that balance efficiency, growth, profitability, and incremental business impact.
• Analyze performance trends and diagnose issues impacting campaign effectiveness, including traffic fluctuations, conversion changes, inventory challenges, and Buy Box performance.
• Partner with sales and finance teams to understand performance drivers, forecast media-attributed sales, and identify opportunities to improve return on investment.
• Build category growth strategies that support assortment planning, hero SKU prioritization, pricing, promotional opportunities, and portfolio growth.
• Identify whitespace opportunities, competitive threats, and emerging marketplace trends to drive long-term business growth.
• Translate shopper search behavior and marketplace insights into strategic recommendations for category, brand, and innovation teams.
• Develop annual and quarterly investment frameworks aligned to brand priorities, commercial objectives, and category opportunities.
• Lead performance reporting, dashboard development, and business reviews that communicate key insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure retail media investments are aligned with broader brand marketing, demand generation, and cross-channel media strategies.
• Collaborate with creative, commerce, and media teams to inform PDP optimization, A+ content strategy, product launches, and promotional initiatives.
• Connect Amazon performance learnings to broader marketing measurement frameworks and business growth objectives.
• Stay informed on marketplace trends, Amazon advertising innovations, measurement capabilities, and retail media best practices.
• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Analytics, Communications, Advertising, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5-8+ years of experience in Amazon performance marketing, retail media, or related commerce media disciplines.
• Significant hands-on experience within Amazon Ads Console, Amazon DSP, or comparable retail media platforms.
• Proven experience managing and influencing agency partners while driving performance accountability.
• Strong understanding of keyword strategy, search-term mining, bidding methodologies, budget allocation frameworks, and full-funnel retail media architecture.
• Experience optimizing campaigns focused on new-to-brand acquisition, sales growth, and long-term customer value.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex performance data into actionable business recommendations.
• Experience working cross-functionally with brand, sales, finance, commerce, and media stakeholders.
• Strong commercial acumen with an understanding of how media investments impact revenue, profitability, and broader business performance.
• Experience building and presenting strategic recommendations to senior leadership teams.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience within CPG, consumer goods, or related industries.
• Experience working with Amazon Vendor Central.
• Familiarity with retail media management and optimization platforms such as Pacvue, Skai, or similar technologies.
• Experience utilizing commerce measurement and performance tools such as Stackline, Circana, or related solutions.
• Experience developing retail media growth strategies for large-scale brands and enterprise organizations.

The base salary range for this position at the time of this posting is indicated below. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
