Location: Birmingham, AL or Atlanta, GA 30308 Duration: 12 months contract Work Schedule: Standard shift Pay range: XXXXXXXXXXX to XXXXXXXXXXX an hour on w2 (Depends on experience & qualification)

• This position will require some travel (day and overnight, up to 50%).

Job Description

Position Summary:

The Engineer Design contractor position for our client and assists in the planning, design, and development of technical standards for gas distribution infrastructure projects. The right candidate must be a self-starter, excellent communicator, critical thinker and able to make sound decisions.

As our Engineer in the design group, a typical day might include:

• Working on gas storage or gas fueling station assignments
• Performing assignments involving the design of components or functionality of pipeline products
• Involved in the planning and design of mechanical equipment and components involving maintenance of mechanical equipment.
• Performing system balances to determine the best overall solution to solve system issues or identify system low points and methods to best solve them.
• Provide oversight and support for construction activities

What candidate will need to qualify for this position:

• BA/BS in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil or General)
• 1-3 years of progressive Engineering experience

Certifications/Licenses:

Preferred: Engineer in Training (E.I.T.)

• Computer Assisted Design/Geographic Information System - basic proficiency
• MS Office - advanced proficiency
