Description

Do you have experience in CAD, millwork, cabinetry, woodworking, or manufacturing ? Are you ready to take designs from the screen to the production floor?

Stevens Industries is looking for an experienced Millwork Engineering Technician to join our team and help transform custom designs into accurate, production-ready products. In this role, you'll work closely with project managers, engineers, and production teams to develop the drawings, data, and manufacturing information needed to bring custom millwork and cabinetry projects to life.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Create and modify accurate 2D and 3D CAD drawings using engineering and design software.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to ensure designs are accurate and production-ready.
• Develop routing data, cut patterns, bills of material, and machine code .
• Work with project managers, engineers, and production teams to troubleshoot design and manufacturing questions.
• Review drawings and production documentation for accuracy before release.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing when questions arise during production.
• Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, reduce errors and rework, and increase production efficiency.
• Help ensure designs are practical, accurate, and ready to be built.

Requirements

WHAT YOU BRING

• Relevant experience in CAD drafting, millwork, cabinetry, woodworking engineering, or manufacturing .
• Experience with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microvellum, or similar software .
• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documents .
• Knowledge of cabinet construction, materials, machining, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with multiple departments.

Commercial cabinetry, architectural millwork, Microvellum, or CNC programming experience is a plus.

An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field is helpful, but relevant hands-on experience can take the place of formal education.
