Waggonner & Ball, a Moffatt & Nichol Studio, is actively seeking a Senior Architect with historic preservation experience in our New Orleans office. You will lead the development of design criteria and direction for projects across a broad range of project types and scales with historic preservation experience. You will lead teams through project research and design as well as manage internal staff development. You will cultivate and maintain client relationships and lead pursuit of new business opportunities and markets. Together, we deliver beautiful, holistic solutions to the most critical climate challenges of our time.Duties and Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Leads the development of design criteria for clients/projectsManages creative design direction during all phases of projectsInterfaces with clients on design issues and aligns architectural solutions with client prioritiesOversees multiple building planning and design effortsLeads team collaboration to advance design conceptsDevelops and maintains relationships with other disciplines such as Civil, Structural, Electrical and Mechanical and other consultants to support project deliveryGuides and monitors design activities on studio projects; conducts technical and design reviewsLeads design analysis and compilation of specifications for basic to complex architectural assignmentsLeads construction administration of historic renovation projectsWorks closely with project directors with respect to budget and schedule constraintsEnsures knowledge transfer between studio projects and teamsPerforms other duties as requested by leadershipMarketing / Business Development:Identifies new business opportunities while developing current client relationships.
