Tax Supervisor Or Tax Manager Opportunity

Seeking a Tax Supervisor or Tax Manager to join an expanding tax department. This opportunity is ideal for a licensed CPA who is looking for long-term career growth within a collaborative environment serving a diverse client base that includes closely held businesses, high-net-worth individuals, partnerships, S corporations, trusts, and estates.

This role will serve as a key resource between staff and firm leadership, handling complex tax matters, reviewing returns, mentoring team members, and maintaining strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical tax knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a desire to take on increasing responsibility as the firm continues to grow.

Responsibilities:

• Review complex individual, trust, partnership, and S corporation tax returns
• Provide review notes and guidance to tax staff
• Research and resolve technical tax issues
• Manage client communications and expectations
• Supervise, mentor, and develop junior team members
• Monitor deadlines and workflow to ensure timely completion of engagements
• Identify issues before final partner review
• Assist with tax planning and consulting projects
• Support department growth and process improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Active CPA license required
• Tax Supervisor or Tax Manager experience within public accounting
• Strong experience with 1040, 1041, partnership, and S corporation returns
• Experience reviewing staff-prepared returns
• Strong tax research and analytical skills
• Excellent communication and client service abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Proven leadership and staff development experience preferred

Preferred Experience:

• High-net-worth individual taxation
• Trust and estate taxation
• Multistate tax compliance
• Foreign reporting requirements
• Experience with UltraTax, SurePrep, GoFileRoom/FirmFlow, Practice CS, QuickBooks, and SafeSend
