As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Emergency Medical Driver in Reading, PA , this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.10 / Hour

Pre-Employment Requirements:

1. Valid Driver's License :
   • Compliance with AU Driver Policy Requirements (C123)
   • Valid Driver's License in the job state (C124)
2. EMT Certification : (C127)

Additional Qualifications (Beneficial to Position):

• Comfort with using a computer or tablet (B204)
• Customer service experience (B219)

How This Role Works:

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and operational concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout manufacturing and industrial areas, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access to the location, verify visitor and contractor credentials, and maintain accurate logs and documentation in accordance with site-specific requirements.
• Assist with access-control procedures, delivery and vehicle screening, and coordination with site personnel during alarms, evacuations, and other emergency situations.

Minimum Requirements:

• EMT certification is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
