Quick Facts: Location: Visalia, CA Start Date: 12/31/2025 Duration: Ongoing Shift: Flexible schedule, typical schedule based on hospital needs Hours/Week: As needed Employment Type: Locum/Temporary Licensure/Certs: Medical License in California, Board Certification preferred Experience: Prior OB hospitalist experience preferred but not required Pay & Benefits: Hourly Pay Rate: $234.00 Benefits include: Competitive pay packages Weekly pay schedule via direct deposit Comprehensive medical benefits (W-2) Robust referral bonus program Paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state, federal, and local laws Licensure, certification, travel, and other reimbursements when applicable What You’ll Do: Provide obstetric care to assigned patients in a hospital setting with a NICU level III facility Manage labor and delivery procedures, including emergent GYN responsibilities Collaborate with anesthesia providers and community-based backup for emergencies Support family medicine residency rotations through OB services Ensure high-quality patient care and safety during your shift Document all patient interactions and procedures accurately What You Need: Active Medical License in California Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology Prior OB hospitalist experience preferred Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to handle emergent situations efficiently About the Assignment: This assignment is based at a prominent hospital in Visalia, CA, with a high volume of deliveries annually. The hospital features a NICU level III, 24/7 anesthesia coverage, and a pseudo laborist program. The community providers support backup in case of emergencies, with a focus on both unassigned and private patients.
