Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Local Contract
Contract Length: 20 Week/s
Pay Range: 17/Hour - 19.00/Hour
*Pay offered is based on experience, expertise, credentialing, and education.
Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and specimen collection accurately and safely, including pediatric and geriatric patients.
• Prepare and process clinical and forensic specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain collection procedures to patients and create an atmosphere of trust and confidence.
• Complete daily activities accurately and within required timeframes.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and professional work environment.
• Maintain accurate records, documentation, and patient information.
• Protect patient confidentiality and ensure accuracy of all information.
• Demonstrate professionalism and a positive attitude with patients, clients, employees, and the public.
• Work independently with minimal on-site supervision while maintaining quality standards.
• Demonstrate flexibility to support staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, overtime, and on-call assignments.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of relevant work experience ; 1+ year of phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Strong phlebotomy skills, including experience with pediatric and geriatric patients .
• Ability to provide accurate, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Keyboarding and data-entry experience required.
• Retail or service-industry customer service experience preferred.

Education & Certifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant or Paramedic training preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification required in California, Nevada, and Washington.
