Assistant to the Director of Transportation

Qualifications High school diploma or general education degree (HiSET) Must hold a school bus driver’s license with proper endorsements issued by the State of Maine. Must have or be able to obtain a current fingerprint card issued by the Department of Education. Must pass an annual school bus driver physical examination. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test. Shows proficiency in handling and maneuvering a school bus. Has the ability to drive in adverse conditions (wind, rain, snow, sleet). Has the ability to work with school staff, the public, students, and parents. Proficient with basic administrative software including, but not limited to: Google drive, docs, sheets, etc; Adobe; Microsoft Word, Excel, etc. Familiarity with Infinite Campus, ReachMyTeach, PickUp Patrol, TimeClock+, Swis Suite, and Traversa Bus routing software a plus. Start Date July 2026 Salary $32-$35/hour.
