Occupational Therapist - Inpatient PRN

About this Job MedStar Health is looking for a PRN Occupational Therapist to join our team at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital. Primary Duties Provide evaluation services including review of pertinent historical information, performance of specific assessments, and determination of recommendations and documentation of results. Explain evaluation findings and treatment plan to patient and family and incorporate them in goal setting. Demonstrate proficiency in the implementation of treatment protocols based upon evaluation findings, the patient's presentation, and the evolving health care environment. Consult with other healthcare professionals as indicated. Recognize and document changes in the patient's condition requiring modification of the plan of care and/or medical/rehabilitation consultation. Complete appropriate discharge planning and follow-up care. Accurately and timely document and charge for patient care activities considering the evolving health care environment. Demonstrate effective time management and meet productivity expectations. Manage an accurate schedule. Demonstrate a professional commitment to providing frictionless patient access to care through flexibility, adaptability, creativity, and empathy in a consumer‑driven environment. Takes initiative in pursuing and directing continuing education for professional growth and competency for self and organization. Serve as a clinical instructor to assign students, and assist with orientation and mentoring of new staff, students, volunteers, and technicians. Qualifications Master’s or Doctoral degree from an accredited school of Occupational Therapy. District of Columbia (DC) OT licensure or ability to obtain before beginning in the role. American Heart Association or American Red Cross BLS (Basic Life Support) within 90 days of hire. Salary: USD $74,214.00 - USD $134,596.00 per year. #J-18808-Ljbffr MedStar Health
