Effective for the 2026-2027 school year, a vacancy for an Elementary School Guidance Counselor exists within the division of Student Services at the Chester County Intermediate Unit. This position will be part of the Non-Public School Services program at the CCIU. This position is located IU Countrywide Non-Public Schools.

Qualifications:
• Must hold a valid PA Certification in Elementary School Counseling PK-12
• Masters in School Counseling required
• Minimum 5 years School Counselor experience required
• Experience and knowledge in public or non-public education preferred
• Current police, child abuse & FBI Fingerprint clearances required

Duties & Responsibilities:
• Counsel groups or individual students through the development of educational and career plans.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff and parents regarding meeting the developmental needs of students and seek community resources when necessary.
• Conduct counseling activities in the classroom in conjunction with administration and teachers.
• Participate in Instructional Support Team (IST).
• Respond to crisis situations when appropriate

Salary 2026-27 School Year:
$68,371 to $98,703 - Instructional I Certification
$71,317 to - $102,656 - Instructional II Certification
$76,288 to $112,102 - Master's Degree
$80,014 to $116,516 - Master's +15
$81,857 to $118,630 - Masters + 30

*Placement on salary schedule based on previous experience
