On Site Healthcare Billing & Collections Specialist

Must have Healthcare based experience working with Billing and Collecting Medical Claims Are you detail-oriented, a strong communicator, and experienced in healthcare billing? We're looking for a Billing & Collections Specialist to join our revenue cycle team and play a key role in ensuring accurate, timely reimbursement across our accounts. In this role, you'll support our billing and coding team with day-to-day collections activity — from researching unpaid claims to corresponding professionally with payers and clients. What you'll do Research and resolve unpaid claims; rebill and submit corrective claims electronically and manually Contact payers to follow up on outstanding balances and resolve claim issues Verify patient eligibility and coverage terms using web-based tools and resources Maintain thorough documentation on all assigned receivables and physical account files Draft professional correspondence — system letters, free-form letters, and emails — aligned with company standards Recommend accounts for escalation or legal action in accordance with company processes Uphold a consistent standard of professionalism with clients and third-party entities at all times What we're looking for Solid understanding of EOBs, invoices, and denial reason codes — and the ability to explain them clearly to patients and management Knowledge of in-network vs. out-of-network provider relationships and billing implications Comfortable using web and internet tools to verify eligibility and coverage Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with patients and vendor partners Organized, reliable, and able to manage a queue of active accounts independently #J-18808-Ljbffr Elios
