Overview Potential work locations – Sacramento, CA Expected Duration: 6 months Position: Industrial Process & Manufacturing Engineers Number of Positions: Two Educational Requirements Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Field Desired Knowledge / Experience Minimum 8-10 years experience in Manufacturing background in the railway industry. Experience on Rolling stock manufacturing (preferred). Technical expertise in MIG/TIG welding, distortion/deformation control, and stainless‑steel fabrication. MTM (Method-Time Measurement) Line balancing Proven ability to analyze, optimize, and validate jigs, fixtures, and tooling. Strong competency in Work Instruction writing and documentation governance. Root cause analysis 8D/PDCA structured problem solving Experience in working with an ERP (such as SAP) for Bill of Materials, Routings, Configuration follow-up Working knowledge in Quality, EHS standards and Ergonomics. Knowledge of CAD and PLM tools (Creo, Windchill, Teamcenter, DELMIA…) Lean Manufacturing certification (preferred). Green Belt or equivalent certification in structured problem solving (preferred). Familiar with IS common tools. Strong analytical and investigative mindset. Excellent documentation and communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary production environment. Attention to detail and high ownership of deliverables.
