We're currently seeking a Medical Assistant (MA, CMA, RMA) to join our Occupational Health and Rehabilitation department. This is a dual role that requires both clinical and administrative duties. Responsible for a variety of patient care functions under the direction of physicians and mid-level providers. Greets and escorts patients to exam rooms. Obtains and records vital signs into the electronic medical record. Maintains a safe and clean environment for the patient. Maintains equipment and supplies. Maintains effective interpersonal relationships with patients, families, and coworkers. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Diploma from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an active CT CNA, EMT, Paramedic, or Medic Certification OR relative experience as outlined below.
• In lieu of education requirement, at least one year of experience in direct patient care (acute or ambulatory space) may be considered.
• Certified BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 3 months (90 days) of hire date or job transfer date. All required credentials to be maintained throughout employment.

Schedule: Per Diem (1 hour)

Shift Details: Medical Assistant Position in The Adult Primary Care Clinic - Medicine, OBGYN, Orthopedics, Podiatry. Monday-Friday 8:30a-4:30p hours, no weekends or holidays.
