Registered Nurse - Home Care
Location: Saco, Maine
Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, with every other weekend rotation or a permanent schedule option available based on agency needs.
Job Description: The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide home care services to adult patients with various medical conditions, including surgical, oncology, cardiac, neurological, respiratory, wound care, GI, and GU issues. The RN will manage a caseload of 20-25 patients with an expectation of executing 6 home visits per day.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medication and treatments as prescribed.
- Perform procedures such as IV therapy, tube feeds, trachel care, compression wraps, port access, and ostomy care.
- Utilize EPIC and OASIS for patient documentation and management.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- At least 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in home health care.
- Current RN license in the state of Maine.
- BLS certification required.
- Experience with Epic and OASIS documentation.
