Construction Technician

Construction Technician Location: Rockford, IL or Janesville, WI. About the Role, Your Impact Support the firm’s construction group on a variety of projects ranging from roadways to underground utility installations, assist with the planning, design, and construction of facilities, and work directly with firm clients. Responsibilities Quantity computation. Construction layout/survey. Observe, measure, and document construction activities. Complete construction reports daily with adequate information on tasks observed. Assist project engineers and managers with a wide variety of tasks required during project delivery. General civil engineering and client service. Education Requirement Associate's degree in Structural/Architecture and/or Construction Management Technology desired or related field experience. Must-haves, What You Will Bring 2+ years of experience working as a Construction Inspector or Technician on construction projects. Effective communication, both oral and written, with residents, businesses and public agencies. Ability to travel throughout the northern Chicagoland and Southern Wisconsin area (own transportation). Work in a team environment. Strong written, verbal, computer, and organizational skills. Compensation Pay range: $28.00 - $40.00 per hour. Actual compensation packages are based on a candidate’s skill set, depth of experience, and certifications.
