Senior Production Planning and Scheduling Coordinator (Materials Clerk) Position Summary: As a Senior Production Planning and Scheduling Coordinator (Materials Clerk), you’ll manage ingredient supply, ensure raw materials are ordered, delivered, tracked, and aligned with production schedules. You will handle logistics, vendor coordination, and system updates that keep our manufacturing facility running smoothly. Responsibilities : Manage the ordering, delivery, and inventory of bulk and packaged ingredients to ensure smooth operations. Track and report on inventory levels, identify gaps, and determine what needs to be ordered based on production needs. Partner with suppliers and internal logistics teams to coordinate just-in-time deliveries, using SAP to place orders tied to company contracts. Communicate with vendors and carriers by sharing purchase orders, scheduling deliveries, and proactively adjusting shipments as production needs change. Negotiate freight rates with carriers, complete required documentation, and maintain accurate records for billing. Build strong working relationships with suppliers and procurement teams across all levels to support effective sourcing and contract management. Handle rejected shipments (truck and rail), including reviewing and validating related charges. Review shipping and compliance documents (e.g., manifests, wash tickets, health certificates), flag any discrepancies, and escalate issues when needed. Ensure overall coordination that supports plant operational timeline and production targets. Requirements : High School Diploma or GED. 2+ years of experience performing administrative duties in a manufacturing, military, logistics, or related field. Ability to use SAP and other procurement systems. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills. Proactive approach to problem solving. Pay & Benefits : Pay Range: $54,000 - $83,000. Actual compensation may vary. Benefits: 401(k) with company match, healthcare coverage, and other benefits may vary based on position.
