Responsibilities Assist the Grocery Manager with the daily operation of the Grocery Department, including Frozen, Dairy, and Liquor/Beer departments. Supervise, train, and support department associates to ensure operational excellence and exceptional customer service. Perform and oversee ordering, receiving, storing, pricing, stocking, and merchandising activities. Resolve customer concerns professionally and promote a positive shopping experience. Assist with implementing merchandising plans, seasonal programs, and promotional initiatives. Monitor inventory, control shrink, ensure product quality, and prevent the sale of out‑of‑code merchandise. Open and close the store and ensure compliance with company safety, sanitation, and security standards. Oversee store operations and supervise associates in the absence of the Store Director or Grocery Manager. Handle cash management responsibilities, including accountability for register funds and related documentation. Support emergency response procedures and maintain operational continuity during equipment or system issues.
