Assistant Swim Team Coach Ivy Hills Stingrays

Overview Ivy Hills competes in the Greater Cincinnati Country Club Swim and Diving League. The GCCCSDL season runs about 8 weeks, beginning the week of Memorial Day. Practices start that week in the evening as many swimmers are in school, and that week also includes tryouts for new swimmers wishing to join the team. Beginning Monday June 1, practices will occur every weekday morning: 8U swimmers at 9am, 9+ swimmers at 10am, and 6U swimmers at 11am. Meets will be held on Wednesday nights starting at 6pm, with the first meet scheduled for June3. The season ends with the League Championship meet on July13 at Terrace Park Country Club. Responsibilities The head coach will oversee the swim entry computer program and manage daily practices and meets. Knowledge of swim entry computer programs is preferred but not required; a specialist will provide training. The coach may have up to three assistants to help run the program. Qualifications Previous swimming coaching experience is preferred but not mandatory. Candidates should be comfortable working evenings and mornings during the season and leading a team of 70–100 swimmers in a low‑stress environment. Compensation & Benefits Salary for the head coach is $3,000 for the 8‑week season. Coaches can supplement this by offering private swim lessons at the club.
