Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a Travel RN for Labor & Delivery to provide expert nursing care in a busy obstetric unit. This role involves supporting mothers during labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery, ensuring patient safety and comfort.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' health status and monitor fetal and maternal wellbeing using standard equipment.
• Administer medications and assist with procedures such as C-sections, cerclage placement, and removal, and IUPC insertions.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Educate patients and families on labor progress, postpartum care, and newborn care instructions.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR system.
• Uphold unit policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with at least 1 year of obstetric nursing experience.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications.
• Strong knowledge of labor and delivery procedures, including FSE, IEFM, and use of monitoring equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Preferable: BSN, RNC-OB, and C-EFM certifications.
