We aim to develop and deploy critically needed capabilities that address our customers’ most pressing national security requirements.ABOUT THE JOBWe are looking for a Staff FPGA Engineer to join our rapidly growing team in Reston, Virginia. You will be responsible for rapidly developing, testing, and implementing FPGA designs on Xilinx SoC/FPGA platforms. This requires strong skills in digital circuit design, VHDL/Verilog coding, and simulation. WHAT YOU’LL DOIntegrate third-party vendors IP, as necessary.Participate in entire design life cycle: from requirements and concept, through design and hand on testing/board bring up.Implement a variety of signal types such as high speed comms (ethernet, serial), signal processing (analog, digital).Ensure designs meet all relevant safety and performance standards, with traceability back to top-level system requirements, as necessary.Investigate and resolve bugs found during hand on testing (at HDL level and system level).REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSBachelors degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field12+ years of professional experience in FPGA design and development. Experience with Xilinx SoC is highly preferredFamiliarity with design software like Vivado (preferred), ModelSim, or QuartusProficient in VHDL and/or VerilogExperience in SoC hardware bring-up, preferably on ARM-based systemsAbility to work in a fast-paced, challenging environmentExcellent problem-solving and organizational skillsStrong communication and teamwork skillsCurrently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearancePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSWorking knowledge of designing for safety-critical functionsFPGA interfaces and high speed bussesExperience leading and managing teams of FPGA EngineersExpert proficiency in SystemVerilog.Experience with creating and maintaining FPGA development processes balancing speed and qualityExperience with full lifecycle product development from concept through development and transition to full-rate productionUS Salary Range$220,000—$292,000 USDThe salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
