About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: MS/Tele Duration: 26 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Hours (07:00 - 19:30) Experience: 2 Years Required License: Active License Required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Required Must-Have: - 2 years of experience required - Inpatient renal experience - Telemetry experience - EPIC experience required - No first-time travelers Description: This position requires three 12-hour shifts per week. Shifts are during the day from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM. Every other weekend is required. Rotating holidays will also be necessary. Floating may be required as needed. The patient population includes chronic kidney disease, acute kidney injury, ESRD, and general medical-surgical patients. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. Previous charge experience is preferred. Candidates should have experience with a patient ratio of 6. Charting system experience is mandatory. Experience in the community hospital setting is preferred. Travel experience is required. A variety of skills are necessary for this role, including but not limited to: - Accessing/managing ports - Administration of chemotherapy - BiPAP/CPAP management - Blood product administration - Central line blood draw - Chest tube management - Colostomy/ileostomy management - Interpretation of arterial blood gases - Monitoring of chemotherapy - Renal failure management - Telemetry monitoring The ideal candidate will work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, which include IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretaries. All RNs, regardless of specialty, must pass a compliance EKG exam. Modules are non-billable and will be completed during orientation.
