Production Associate Day Shift

Job Details Base pay rate: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour Day Shift Hours: 4:00 AM - 12:30 PM (hours may vary depending on operations) This is a position with the potential of overtime. The shifts are 8, 10, or 12 hours long depending on work orders for the day and season of the year. Duties and Responsibilities Assist mill operators and operating side loaders, and perform other warehouse duties as assigned. Understand and follow safety rules and precautions necessary for working in and around a manufacturing environment. Safely operate a variety of power tools, including electric and pneumatic. Band and clear all lines and place products in outside racks. Mark part numbers, order numbers, and the number of pieces on parts. Attach identification tags as required for customers to locate correct parts. Provide cost‑saving suggestions and ideas to improve productivity and eliminate waste. Maintain continuous improvement practices in the work area. Inspect work visually for defects according to Quality Systems. Read a tape measure, write, and follow posted schedules. Be a team player with safety first. May be assigned other projects and duties as designated by Team Leader. Willing and able to work overtime. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent (GED). Minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable work environment. Minimum of one year operating manufacturing machinery and/or equipment. Good communication skills. Basic computer skills. Experience with hand tools, wrenches, banding equipment, and nail guns. Ability to use measuring gauges. Ability to read a tape measure. Flexible with working overtime and weekends when needed. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist. Full‑time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week. Union programs may vary depending on the collective bargaining agreement.
