About the Position
Job Title: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:30) Experience: 1-2 years preferred License: Active RN license or compact license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NCC C-EFM, STABLE, CPI, NIH Must-Have: Experience in Labor and Delivery Strong skill set in high-acuity nursing Description: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse needed for night shifts. Candidates with 1-2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery are preferred. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Local travelers may be accepted at a reduced rate. Requested time off must be included at the time of submission. Candidates must have certifications in BLS, ACLS, NCC C-EFM, STABLE, CPI, and NIH at the time of submission. Nights require working every other weekend and holidays as scheduled. Floating within the specialty and to Mother/Baby may be required as needed. No on-call duty is required for this position. Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. A patient ratio of 2:1 is expected on nights and weekends. The facility has a community hospital with a labor and delivery unit that includes LDR and triage areas. Staff is trained to work in all areas of the department, including circulating in surgical settings. Epic is the electronic health record used for charting. Staff should be comfortable with various tasks related to labor and delivery nursing. Candidates must possess the required certifications in-hand for consideration. Most units require comprehensive training including CPI certification. Candidates will need to undergo background checks and compliance measures as part of onboarding. This position offers a team-oriented environment with diverse interdisciplinary support.
