Police Officer

Salary: $33,000.00 – $35,000.00 Position Summary Members of the Langston University Police Department are committed to excellence and maintaining peace through lawfulness, diversity, service, integrity, leadership, and fair treatment of all individuals. Essential Functions Patrol campus areas on foot or by vehicle Investigate crimes and suspicious activity Enforce laws and university policies Respond to emergencies and render aid when necessary Complete detailed reports documenting incidents and daily activities Communicate effectively with dispatch and other emergency services Monitor safety hazards and address security concerns Arrest suspects and support criminal investigations Collaborate with local and state law enforcement agencies Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age Must have a valid driver’s license Must have no felony convictions (degree must be conferred on or before agreed upon start date) Experience in law enforcement or a related field is required High School/GED Preferred Requirements College degree preferred, but not required CLEET certification preferred, but not required after hire #J-18808-Ljbffr National Police
