Cafe Barista

The Barista will prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, specialty beverages, and pre-packaged food/pastries while providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate is passionate about coffee, enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, and contributes to creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Benefits Growth Opportunities Paid Training Employee Purchase Incentives Responsibilities Beverage Preparation Prepare and serve coffee, espresso-based drinks, teas, smoothies, and other beverages according to company recipes and quality standards. Operate espresso machines, coffee grinders, blenders, and other café equipment. Ensure consistency in drink quality and presentation. Customer Service Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional service. Take customer orders accurately and efficiently. Answer questions about menu items, ingredients, and promotions. Handle customer concerns professionally and courteously. Move throughout the cafe and dealership to take orders, prepare drinks, deliver food and beverages, and assist customers. Cash Handling Process cash, credit card, and mobile payments. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system accurately. Balance cash drawers and maintain transaction records. Food Preparation Serve light food items such as prepackaged pastries, sandwiches, and snacks as required. Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines. Monitor product freshness and rotate inventory appropriately. Cleaning and Maintenance Maintain cleanliness of workstations, dining areas, and equipment. Wash dishes, utensils, and café tools. Perform opening, closing, and daily cleaning duties. Report equipment issues to management. Inventory Support Monitor stock levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, cups, and supplies. Assist with receiving and organizing deliveries. Inform supervisors when inventory needs replenishment. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous barista, café, restaurant, or customer service experience preferred. Basic math and cash-handling skills. Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Must have a food handlers license. Have a valid CA Driver's License with a good driving record. Preferred Skills Knowledge of coffee preparation techniques and espresso equipment. Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
