Registered Nurse - Emergency Department (Nights)

Schedule

This is a night shift position, with hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking and assessment skills to manage a diverse patient population effectively. The RN will be responsible for triaging patients, performing emergency procedures, and managing critical care drips.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients effectively and efficiently.
• Conduct critical thinking and nursing assessments.
• Perform nursing skills including IV/IO administration, chest tube management, and catheterization.
• Manage critical care drips and monitor cardiac activity.
• Maintain a patient care ratio of 4:1 in a 16-bed facility.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN Licensure.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRPC certifications required.
• 1+ year of experience in the Emergency Department.
• Critical care assessment and management experience.
• IV skills and cardiac monitoring competency.
