As an employer, we seek to provide an environment of growth and development for our employees that is consistent with recognizing the rights, needs, and wants of all people.Purpose:To provide support, assistance and supervision to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to enable them to live valued lives in the community by creating an positive home environment.Qualifications:Must successfully complete the required pre-employment Background and Drug ScreeningsMust possess a valid Driver's License with all necessary endorsements and have a minimum of 3 years of driving experience.Must possess basic computer skillsMust possess a High School Diploma or equivalentAt least one year of experience working in the human service field preferredAt least one year of supervisory experience preferredEssential Functions:Identifies and reports any suspected abuse or violations of an individual’s rightsEnsures that the health, safety and well-being of the individuals are protected at all timesSupervises and maintains a positive team of well trained employees who provide support, direction and oversight to the interactions of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilitiesProvides training and constructive feedback to employees through positive interactions, role modeling, and mentoringEnsures implementation of therapy, training and behavior programs and data collection required by the individuals’ plans and regulatory agenciesEnsures that the home offers choice and creative activities within a positive innovative person directed environmentMonitors for ongoing compliance with agency directives, licensing standards and policies and proceduresEnsures all homes, outside areas and vehicles are well maintained and organizedProficiency in the English language (both written and verbal) is required as this job entails direct care of adults and children receiving services. Employees are required to communicate, both orally and in writing, with staff and others regarding medical care, supports, and services. This requirement includes the ability to effectively communicate in English including medical terminology.Performs all other duties as assignedThis position will remain open until filled.
