Life Skills InstructorProvide direct support, instruction, and guidance to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. This role focuses on promoting independence, teaching daily living skills, and ensuring a safe, supportive home environment while encouraging community involvement and personal growth.Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive home environment for residentsProvide instruction in daily living skills including personal care, social skills, money management, and household tasksSupport residents in developing independence and achieving individualized goals outlined in service plansAssist with implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISP) and Person-Centered PlansMonitor and document resident progress and goal achievementEnsure the health, safety, and well-being of all residents at all timesParticipate in recreational and community activities with residentsEncourage positive community participation and relationship buildingSupport residents in exercising personal choice, independence, and rightsAssist with household management tasks as assignedPromote dignity, respect, and positive interactions with all residentsAssist with coverage of shifts as needed (when applicable)Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to teach, guide, and reinforce positive behaviorsAbility to build respectful and professional relationships with individuals servedStrong organizational and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamAbility to support individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential settingAbility to lift and carry 50 pounds or moreAbility to assist residents with physical support and daily living tasksAbility to remain active throughout shift, including standing, walking, bending, and liftingValid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of vehicle insurance requiredAbility to travel for trainings, meetings, and transportation of residents as neededAdult CPR and First Aid certificationPreventing Disease Transmission (Bloodborne Pathogens) certificationCore A & B Medication TrainingCPI (Non-Violent Crisis Intervention) certificationFor more details, you may contact Anna Marrs at View email address on click.appcast.io.$350 Sign-on Bonus eligible position.
