Accountant

Shoreline Corporation is a Cambridge, MA based property management firm with five rental apartment properties and one commercial property across four states. We are seeking a highly motivated Accountant to join our team. The role offers a hybrid schedule with at least two days in our office located near Central Square, Cambridge. Job Type Full-time or part-time; Hybrid, flexible schedule (20-40 hours per week). Location Hybrid remote in Cambridge, MA 02139, with a requirement to relocate before starting work. Work Schedule Flexible work-from-home options available. At least 2 days in office at Central Square. Accountant Key Responsibilities Processing bi-weekly payroll for 30+ employees including subsequent invoice creation. Set up new employees in ADP and complete background checks. Organize and maintain employee files. Quarterly reconciliation of employee benefit time. Daily cash monitoring for all properties and related entities, including recording of manual payments in general ledger. Payable processing for all properties and related entities, including vendor maintenance. Creation of annual 1099 forms for contractors. Filing regulatory reports with HUD and other entities. Assist with year-end close process and audit. Maintain organized electronic files. Support other accounting functions and duties, as necessary. Qualifications and Education 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience. Bachelor’s degree required. Ability to communicate effectively and professionally. Ability to multi-task, work independently, and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Products including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
