Description
American Traveler is hiring an experienced Ultrasound Technologist for a Perinatal Diagnostic Program, requiring RDMS (OB/GYN) certification and 2+ years of OB/GYN sonography experience.
Details
- Outpatient high-risk and low-risk obstetric and gynecologic imaging clinic
- Perinatal Diagnostic Program with 6 exam rooms/suites
- Patient volume of 8 to 10 patients per sonographer daily
- Patient population includes all age groups across obstetrics and gynecology
- EPIC (Radiant) EMR used
- Monday through Friday schedule, 8-hour day shifts, 40 hours per week
- Hours are 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with Fridays 7:30 AM to 1:00 PM
- No weekend, on-call, or holiday requirements
- No shift rotation or self-scheduling
Requirements
- RDMS Certification (OB/GYN) required
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience
- Minimum 2 years of OB/GYN sonography experience
- Fetal Echo Certification preferred but not required
- Florida license required if applicable
- First-time travelers not considered for this role
Additional Information
- Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound imaging in a busy maternal-fetal medicine environment
- 3 days of unit orientation provided
- Unit manager interview required, as well as an interview with the MFM provider
- Gray scrubs required with closed-toe, non-permeable shoes
- Minimal jewelry and nail polish required, with professional and well-maintained hair/beard
- Time off requests should be disclosed prior to starting the assignment, as approval afterward is not guaranteed
- Florida AHCA Level 2 background screening may take up to 14 business days to process
- Seasonal influenza vaccination required, with medical exemption requests allowed for the 2026-2027 season
- Local candidates accepted
- 50-mile radius rule applies
