Respiratory Therapist - Day ShiftThe Respiratory Therapist provides quality patient care, delivering intensive respiratory support and patient transport in accordance with medical prescriptions. This role operates within the scope of professional licensing and requires minimal supervision.ResponsibilitiesEvaluate patients and recommend individualized treatment plans.Explain treatment purposes and procedures to patients and provide educational support upon discharge.Conduct physician-prescribed treatments using various ventilatory equipment, both invasive and non-invasive.Administer medications through oxygen and aerosol devices as well as nebulizers.Perform chest physiotherapy and suctioning using different methods.Monitor oximetry and capnography as per policy.Review patient chest x-rays and conduct pulmonary function studies.Assist with respiratory care procedures such as bronchoscopy and tracheostomy care.Utilize and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment and perform routine checks.Document treatment details and patient responses accurately in medical records.Communicate effectively with attending physicians regarding therapy efficiency.Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation following BLS and ACLS guidelines.ScheduleThis position operates on a day shift schedule of 3 days, 12 hours each.Required Experience / Certifications / LicensureCurrent Respiratory Therapist License.Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).Why ARMStaffing?At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
