Are you passionate about the intersection of cloud technology and the federal financial mission space?Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for an experienced and motivated technical manager to coach, grow, and partner with skilled Solutions Architects serving federal financial agencies and institutions. As a Manager of Solutions Architecture within our AWS Worldwide Public Sector (WWPS) Federal Financial practice, you will have the opportunity to help shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of Amazon's utility computing web services (e.g., Amazon EC2, Amazon S3, Amazon RDS, and Amazon CloudFront) directly with federal financial customers and AWS Partners.In this role, you will need to be technically capable and credible in your own right as well as effective in shaping the customer-facing and technical skills of your team. You will lead efforts to drive successful customer outcomes across federal financial regulatory agencies, government-sponsored enterprises, and related organizations. A solid understanding of all major cloud service providers — not just AWS — is important, as is familiarity with the unique regulatory, compliance, and security requirements of the federal financial sector (e.g., FedRAMP, FISMA, NIST frameworks, and agency-specific ATOs).We are looking for a technical leader who is passionate about helping federal financial customers modernize their IT environments and adopt cloud at scale. You will work with your team to provide exceptional technical design and thought leadership, ensuring best practices around security, compliance, and operational excellence. You will also serve as a subject matter resource on security as it relates to customer applications and services in regulated federal environments.You will help team members ramp up on AWS, develop deep expertise in federal financial workloads, and build speaking, writing, presentation, and executive interaction skills. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
