We develop safety-of-life air traffic management systems for mulit-national customers used for controlling and monitoring civil and military aviation traffic.This is an opportunity to learn new COTS tools, processes, and methodologies as you focus on improving your skills to support, design, develop, integrate, and test operational software components throughout the SW development life-cycle.What You Will Do:You will develop and maintain software packaged into our ATMS productsYou will maintain documentation and work instructions needed to meet ATS SED’s high maturity level software engineering standards and processes.You will participate in the agile process including daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, back log grooming and story pointing. You will work with an integrated engineering team in a highly collaborative environment, requiring frequent multi-level communication with engineering team members, program management and external stakeholders.Qualifications You Must Have: Requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience oran Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experienceExperience developing, integrating, testing and validating software components in an Unix/Linux environmentExperience with the complete software development lifecycle using C/C++U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts.Qualifications We Prefer:Proficiency with scripting languages such as Bash and PythonExperience with Agile methodologies and GITExperience in software testing or debugging source codeExperience with containerization technologies ( ex. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
