Position Overview
Maintenance Technician I trouble shoots electrical and mechanical systems within the plant. Maintenance Technician I will maintains production and facility equipment according to company standards of safety and quality. Additionally, Maintenance Technician I supports an environment of continuous improvement by making and implementing suggestions.
Areas of Focus
Maintenance Technician I will follow the preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendation and industry accepted best practices for all plant equipment. Maintenance Technician I will comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE as well as understand and follow the Quality policy and Lean initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Maintain equipment while performing basic mechanical and electrical repair work
- Notice and report any abnormal conditions/failures
- Perform machinery and basic equipment examinations and report to supervisors.
- Perform machine shop functions (sheet metal, steel layout and welding)
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
- Follow company policy, processes and action plans as it relates to all plant machinery
- Must follow and understand production daily goals and requirements
- Perform general housekeeping
- Understand and follow Work Instructions
- Detect and report defective materials
- Dispose of contaminated work materials in appropriate containers
- Follow and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene practices
Basic Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent
6 months 1-year experience in an industrial environment working within a maintenance (electrical) department as a Maintenance Electrician/ Technician
Good writing and communication skills
Basic understanding of MS Office (Word / Excel)
Forklift Certified
Salary Range: $28.00-$31.00/hr
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location
