Job Title

Travel RN – Medical/Telemetry Observation Unit (Night Shift)

Location

Asheville, North Carolina

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 13 Weeks | Nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM) | Every Other Weekend Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a 20-bed Medical/Telemetry Observation unit with night shift ratios of 1:6 (stretch 1:7)
• Perform continuous telemetry monitoring and respond to cardiac rhythm changes appropriately
• Perform unit procedures including Foley catheter insertion and IV starts
• Operate and manage Baxter infusion pumps and related equipment
• Document patient care accurately using Cerner/PowerChart EMR
• Float to other med-surg levels of care as needed, including trauma, renal, neuro, ortho, spine, and general surgery units

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Telemetry certification
• Proficiency with Cerner/PowerChart EMR

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Med-Surg certification
• Experience in a fast-paced observation or telemetry unit environment
• Outgoing, team-oriented personality with the ability to thrive in a high-volume setting
