Vice President of Business Development and Capture
Are you a proven leader in federal business development with a track record of winning multi-million dollar contracts? This is an exciting opportunity to drive the growth of a federal joint venture during a period of expansion, leveraging your established network and strategic expertise to secure significant awards.
What You'll Do
- Target, navigate, and secure 8(a) directed and competitive awards.
- Lead sophisticated, compliant discussions with federal buyers, leveraging a comprehensive understanding of the FAR to position for direct awards.
- Build and manage a pipeline of federal opportunities.
- Work closely with proposal, pricing, and contract teams from identification to award to ensure success.
- Develop and maintain relationships with federal customers and industry partners.
- Build teaming strategies and partner relationships as needed.
- Help grow the federal portfolio and potentially lead a division around awarded work.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 8 years of federal business development, capture, or growth experience.
- Verifiable history of securing multi-million dollar federal contract wins, with emphasis on 8(a) awards.
- Knowledge of the FAR and SBA 8(a) program regulations, including sole-sourced awards.
- Active network of federal customer and industry professionals.
- Experience building and managing a federal pipeline.
- Ability to independently identify and drive revenue-generating opportunities.

- Existing pipeline of actionable federal opportunities.
- Proven success growing an 8(a), small business, or joint venture portfolio.
- Experience building a federal business unit or portfolio.
- Federal program or contract operations experience.
