What’s The Job The Retail Operations Specialist is the operational backbone of our retail customer relationships. This is not a support role. It’s the person who makes sure every retailer we work with is set up correctly, stays live, and gets what they need to do business with us. You’ll own the full onboarding and setup process for new retail accounts, manage retailer portals and compliance requirements, and serve as the primary point of contact for operational issues that affect order flow, invoicing, and execution. You’ll work closely with our Sales Operations, Finance, and Logistics teams to connect the dots between what a retailer needs and what our internal systems can deliver. If something breaks, you’re the one that catches it, owns it, and drives it to resolution. This role exists because we’ve grown fast and our retail customer base has grown with us. We need someone who can bring structure, ownership, and follow‑through to a function that directly impacts revenue. What You’ll Be Doing Retailer Onboarding + Setup Own the end‑to‑end onboarding process for new retail accounts, from intake and compliance documentation to portal setup and checklist completion, ensuring all requirements are met before a customer goes live. Coordinate internally across sales, operations, and finance to make sure new accounts are set up correctly across all relevant systems. Build and maintain a repeatable onboarding process that scales as our retail footprint grows. Portal Administration + Compliance Administration across retailer portals: item setup, compliance submissions, document management, and ongoing maintenance. Stay ahead of retailer compliance requirements and flag issues before they become chargebacks or deductions. Manage retailer‑facing documentation and ensure our records are current and accurate. Retailer Operations + Problem Solving Serve as the go‑to operational partner for retailers, proactively identifying and resolving friction across ordering, setup, invoicing, and compliance before it impacts the business. Triage, route, and own resolution of operational gaps internally, closing the loop with retailers quickly and completely. Build strong relationships with retailer operations contacts that create faster paths to resolution and fewer issues over time. Track and elevate open items with urgency, keeping revenue‑impacting issues from stalling. Cross‑Functional Leadership Act as the central point of coordination between sales, operations, finance, and logistics on anything retailer‑facing. Support new item setup and ensure product data is accurate and complete across retailer systems. Partner with Sales Operations on process improvements that reduce manual work and improve retailer experience. Contribute to the ongoing buildout of the retail customer success function as it scales. Other duties as assigned. What You’ve Done and Who You Are 3–5 years of experience in CPG retail operations, customer success, or account operations. You understand how retail accounts actually work. You’ve lived in retailer portals (Retail Link, 1WorldSync, partner hubs, etc.) and know how to navigate compliance requirements. Experience coordinating across internal teams to get things done. You’re comfortable working across sales, finance, and ops. Someone that can partner and influence at all different levels. Strong organizational skills and a bias toward follow‑through. Things don’t fall through the cracks on your watch. Comfortable in ambiguous, fast‑moving environments where the process is still being built. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with trade planning, ERP, or order management systems is a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication. You can talk to a retailer ops contact and an internal finance partner on the same day and land both. An open mindset toward AI tools and a willingness to experiment and learn. Ability to handle multiple priorities and navigate in a fast‑moving environment. A relentless drive to get things done.
