Concrete Laborer

Location: NE Iowa

Shift: Monday-Friday, 6am-4:30pm

Possible OT on Saturdays

Direct Hire, $24+/hour, plus full benefits

Position Overview

This is a hands-on position with opportunities to learn multiple aspects of the trade. The Concrete Laborer works as part of a field crew assisting with concrete and general construction projects. This is a Direct Hire position, meaning the chosen candidate will go onto hiring company’s payroll and be eligible for company benefits.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with preparing, placing, and finishing concrete on a variety of projects.
Perform general construction tasks throughout the project.
Learn and assist with different phases of concrete work and jobsite activities.
Operate basic construction and concrete tools and assist with material handling.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
Valid driver's license and good driving record.
Ability to follow directions and communicate effectively.
Dependable work ethic and willingness to learn and be trained in multiple areas.
Ability to adapt to changing assignments and project needs.
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50+ pounds.
Ability to bend, stretch, twist, reach, and perform repetitive movements.
Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods, typically 8–12 hours per day.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in an active construction environment.
