Position: Sonographer – OB/GYN
Facility: Parkland Health
Location: 5200 Harry Hines Blvd, Dallas, TX
Shift: Days – Most likely Monday–Friday, 4x10-hour shifts (7:00 AM–5:30 PM or 7:30 AM–5:00 PM)
Duration: 13 weeks
Start Date: November 16, 2026
Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
Weekend: Possible
On-Call: No call

Job Duties

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, primarily for OB/GYN patients, ensuring high-quality imaging and optimal patient care.

• Operate ultrasound equipment and obtain accurate sonographic images according to facility standards.

• Review image quality and collaborate with physicians to determine whether additional imaging or procedures are needed.

• Identify appropriate equipment and supplies for examinations and troubleshoot equipment issues as needed.

• Maintain clean, safe, and organized examination rooms to support efficient patient flow.

• Complete required documentation, billing reports, and quality-control procedures.

• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support patient care and improve clinical workflows.

• Provide coverage at Parkland's Central location, OGES, and designated women's health clinics as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum 1.5 years of sonography experience performing OB/GYN examinations.

• Hospital or Women, Baby and Birth Center experience required.

• Active ARDMS (OB/GYN) or ARRT (BR) certification required.

• Fetal Echo certification required.

• Active BLS certification through AHA, ARC, or the military required.

• Previous travel experience preferred.

• Must disclose any previous employment history with Parkland Health.

• The position may require coverage at multiple Parkland locations, including eight women's health clinics.

• Some assignments may involve OGES shifts, including evening or overnight coverage, any day of the week.

• Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are eligible at a lower local rate.

• Overtime, holiday, and callback pay: 1.5x hourly rate.

• Parkland may cancel up to three shifts during the 13-week assignment.
