This facility in Palmer, Alaska provides interventional cardiology services across inpatient and outpatient settings, with established protocols to support comprehensive cardiac care delivery. The facility operates on an on-site basis and maintains the resources necessary to support both scheduled clinical coverage and 24-hour call responsibilities. Clinical operations are structured to accommodate weekday activity as well as call coverage requirements.

Palmer, Alaska serves as a base for a range of outdoor activities, including hiking, fishing, dogsledding, and horseback riding, with access to state parks and notable destinations such as Matanuska Glacier and Hatcher Pass. The area also features agricultural attractions including the Reindeer Farm and Musk Ox Farm, alongside cultural destinations such as the Colony History Museum and Palmer Visitor Information Center. Clinicians on assignment may also enjoy skiing at Skeetawk and walking opportunities at Reflection Lake.

The interventional cardiologist will provide comprehensive interventional cardiology services across both inpatient and outpatient settings, with scheduled clinical coverage Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The clinician will perform 7-10 interventional procedures daily and maintain 24-hour call responsibilities as part of an established call rotation. Board certification in Interventional Cardiology is required. The position is on-site and requires demonstrated expertise in interventional cardiology techniques.
