Job CoachUnder the supervision of the Director of Employment Services, the Job Coach provides on-site supports for individuals with disabilities that have various jobs within the community. Working closely with an Employment Specialist, the Job Coach will help facilitate positive employment outcomes for individuals with community employment. The supports and services provided will be done in a way that aligns with Trinity Service's mission, values, and operational needs in a dignified, respectful and professional manner.Salary: $20.80Hours: FT 10 am-6 pmLocation: Wilmington, ILReports To: Director of Employment ServicesNetwork or Department: Career Access Network/Network 2Essential Functions:Promote a work environment that respects those we serve with dignity.Provide on-site job coaching to individuals served that have obtained community employment.Works closely with Employment Specialists with various clients on their caseload to help provide added supports to individuals.Collaborate with individuals at the day program to work through career curriculum to help with learning and enhancing skills for the workplace, teaching budgeting skills, how to deal with conflict at work, etc.Collaborate with employers to identify job tasks that may need modifying to fit each individual's needs and advocate for various accommodations needed for each individual.Write progress notes for all clients being coached on the job and write summary reports about career curriculum; all to be handed into Employment Specialists/Director in a timely manner.Ensures that all documentation is accurate and upholds Trinity Services' mission, values, and operational needsAssist with tasks and responsibilities of the people supported, as neededOther duties and responsibilities as instructed.Skills and Abilities:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with program participants, coworkers, community employers, and their supervisor.Be open to new experiences and techniques to help people served succeed at work.Communicate effectively orally and in writing.Ability to work independentlyAbility to follow written and oral instructions.Physical Demands:Traveling between counties/towns required; mileage reimbursed.Be able to lift over 40 pounds from floor to waist unassistedBe able to push and pull 75 poundsBe able to complete deep knee squatsBe able to push wheelchairs up to 200 poundsRemain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periodsOperate motor vehiclesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone keyboard reach, stoop kneel to install computer equipmentPhysical activities that could be used include: driving, balancing, pulling, pushing, standing, climbing, grasping, stooping, crouching, crawling, kneeling, reaching, lifting, and repetitive motion.Qualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent.Must demonstrate proficient inter-personal, communication, and writing skills.Computer skills including Word, Excel, Email and Internet.A valid driver's license is required.
