Traveling Heavy Equipment Field MechanicEstablished Solar Tracking installation company is seeking a Heavy Equipment Mechanic that is able to travel and repair heavy equipment in the Field on large scale ground mount solar sites throughout the US.This is long term position. All travel costs are prepaid (Hotel, Airfare, and Rental Truck). Pay ranging from $40-45/hr depending on experience + daily per diem.This role requires a candidate with experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, specifically in troubleshooting hydraulic machinery used for post and foundation preparations. The successful candidate must possess a valid driver's license and be able to provide proof upon hiring.Responsibilities:Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic machinery used for post pounding and drilling.Perform electrical troubleshooting and circuit diagnosis.Conduct hydraulic, pneumatic, and valve repairs.Repair heavy equipmentDiagnose and troubleshoot PLC systems.Job Qualifications:5 years as a Heavy Equipment MechanicPrevious experience troubleshooting skills in the areas of hydraulics, diesel engines and electrical systemsExperience with controls (encoders, CANBUS, linear transducers, PLC, etc.)Heavy equipment diagnostics (CAT, Cummins)Welding and fabricationExcellent judgement and able to make responsible decisionsAbility to work independently without constant directionEffective verbal and written communication skills. Should be able to adapt communication style to suit different audiences both internally and externallyThis position requires the successful candidate to have a valid driver's license and provide proof that s/he has a valid driver's license upon being hired.Key words: Diesel mechanic, heavy equipment mechanic, field mechanic, PD10, Hydraulics repairs, post pounders. drill rigs, drilling platforms. Hydraulic, travelingThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $45.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
