Job Title: Maintenance Technician (Electro-Mechanical)

Job Description

This role focuses on maintaining and improving a high-speed beverage manufacturing facility by performing electro-mechanical maintenance on plant production equipment. You will perform preventative maintenance, routine repairs, installations, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably. You will learn multiple functions across production and maintenance areas while consistently promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on high-speed beverage production equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electro-mechanical issues, including PLCs, motors, sensors, hydraulics, and related systems.

• Complete routine repairs on plant production machinery and support equipment to maintain safe and efficient operations.

• Install, set up, and commission new or upgraded production equipment as needed.

• Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, and productivity.

• Troubleshoot and repair PLC-controlled systems to restore proper operation and optimize system performance.

• Perform maintenance and repairs on boilers and associated systems to support plant operations.

• Use basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, to document work, communicate with team members, and track maintenance activities.

• Learn and perform multiple functions within both production and maintenance areas to provide broad technical support.

• Follow established safety procedures and maintain a high level of safety awareness in all tasks.

• Maintain a strong focus on product quality and ensure maintenance activities support consistent, high-quality output.

• Support and participate in continuous improvement efforts related to equipment reliability and manufacturing performance.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience as an electro-mechanical or maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment, preferably 3 to 5 years.

• Hands-on experience with PLC troubleshooting in a production setting.

• Strong skills in preventive maintenance and maintenance repair of production equipment.

• Experience working with motors, sensors, and hydraulics.

• Ability to perform boiler maintenance and related repairs.

• High school diploma or equivalency.

• Experience in the food and beverage industry.

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

• Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including nights and every other weekend.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Krones equipment or similar high-speed beverage packaging or processing machinery is a plus.

• Experience in a high-speed beverage manufacturing facility is highly advantageous.

• Ability to learn multiple roles within production and maintenance to support cross-functional needs.

• Strong troubleshooting mindset and ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

• Effective communication skills to collaborate with colleagues across production and maintenance.

• Comfort working in a cooperative, team-oriented environment focused on continuous improvement.

Work Environment

This position is based in a high-speed beverage manufacturing facility that operates advanced production and packaging equipment. You will work an alternating 12-hour shift schedule: one week on Monday and Tuesday, off Wednesday and Thursday, and working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday; the following week off Monday and Tuesday, working Wednesday and Thursday, and off Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, providing every other weekend off. The standard shift runs from 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. on nights, with the potential to move to a 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. day schedule. You will work 36 hours one week and 48 hours the next. The environment is fast-paced and production-focused, with an emphasis on safety, quality, and equipment reliability. You will regularly work around mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, as well as boilers and PLC-controlled equipment, using standard maintenance tools and computer applications to support daily operations.

This is a Contract position based out of Henderson, NV.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $34.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
