ESSENTIALFUNCTIONSANDRESPONSIBILITIES CollaborateswithSeniorEngineersandotherstaffinthedesign,analysis,andevaluationofengineeringsystems,components,andprocessesusingapplicableengineeringsoftware,calculations,modeling,andsimulations. Independentlydevelopsengineeringdesignplans,specifications,reports,andtechnicaldocumentationforwaterandwastewaterprojectsaspartofaprojectteam. Collects,processes,andanalyzesdata;evaluatesalternativesolutions;andpreparestechnicalreportsanddesigndocumentstosupportengineeringrecommendationsandconclusions. Preparesandmaintainsaccurateengineeringdrawings,specifications,reports,calculations,andotherprojectdocumentationinaccordancewithprojectrequirementsandregulatorystandards. Assistswithprojectplanning,budgets,schedules,resourceforecasting,costtracking,andprojectcloseoutactivities. Identifiesandtroubleshootstechnicalissuesandcollaborateswithprojectteamstodevelopeffectivesolutionswithinestablishedprojectrequirements,budgets,andschedules. Coordinatesconstructionprojectsubmittals,deliverables,reviews,andapprovalstoensurecompliancewithcontractrequirements. CoordinateswithGISandSurveydepartmentstoobtaintopographic,location,boundary,recordplan,andotherinformationnecessaryforprojectplanning,design,andpermitting. Requests,reviews,andevaluatesproposalsfromconsultantsandcontractors. Reviewsdevelopmentplanssubmittedbyoutsideconsultantsandengineersandchecksengineeringdesigncalculationsforcompliancewithcompanystandardsandspecifications. Researchesengineeringtopics,regulations,technologies,andindustrypracticesandpreparesreportsorpresentationstocommunicatefindings. REQUIREDQUALIFICATIONS Bachelor'sdegreeinengineeringorarelatedfield. ProfessionalEngineer(PE)licenseortheabilitytoacquireonewithin2yearsrequired. Avaliddriver'slicensewithcleandrivingrecordinaccordancewithcompanyandinsurancestandards Minimumoffive(5)yearsofprofessionalengineeringexperienceasalicensedProfessionalEngineer. Proficiencywithpersonalcomputersandapplicableengineeringsoftware. Abilitytoindependentlyanalyzecomplexengineeringproblems,exercisesoundjudgment,anddevelopeffectivetechnicalsolutions. Abilitytocolle,interpret,andanalyzetechnicaldataandreachsoundconclusionsinatimelymanner. Knowledgeofapplicablefederal,state,andlocalregulationsandengineeringstandards. Effectivewrittenandverbalcommunicationskillswiththeabilitytocommunicatetechnicalinformationtoemployees,departments,consultants,contractors,andregulatoryagencies. Mustpossessavaliddriver'slicense. PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS Experiencewithwaterandwastewaterinfrastructureprojects. Experiencewithengineeringdesign,constructionmanagement,projectcoordination,permitting,andregulatorycompliance.
