Coil Yard Attendant at Atlas Tube , a division of Zekelman Industries , in Kansas City, MO, you will be responsible for picking, packing, staging, and loading steel tube and pipe while following established procedures and quality standards. This role is ideal for someone who values safety, attention to detail, and thrives in a fast-paced warehouse environment focused on accurate order fulfillment and efficient material flow.

What You’ll Do

• Champion and enforce safe work practices in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare materials, products, and equipment for distribution and shipment.

• Process and fulfill orders for customers and internal teams to support on-time delivery.

• Pick, pack, and stage orders while verifying accuracy using scanning tools.

• Load shipments onto flatbed trucks or LTL carriers.

• Receive, inspect, and process incoming materials while reporting any damages.

• Replenish warehouse stock and rotate inventory using a reach truck or forklift.

• Operate forklifts, order pickers, reach trucks, and walkie rider pallet jacks to move materials efficiently.

• Standardize and optimize shipping and receiving procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.

• Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.

• Maintain regular, full-time onsite attendance.

Who You Are

• Technical School training preferred.

• 2+ years of warehouse experience preferred, ideally in steel or tubing, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Basic math skills to support accurate order processing.

• Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment.

• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Problem-solving ability to address warehouse challenges.

• High attention to detail to ensure order accuracy and adherence to quality standards.

Physical Abilities

• Ability to lift, push, pull, bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods.

• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely in an industrial environment.

• Ability to work in a loud manufacturing or warehouse setting.
