RN - Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

ICU Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a highly skilled ICU Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills and the ability to work independently and efficiently.

Shift Details

• Schedule: 7 PM to 7 AM, every other week
• Start Date: Available on either September 28 or October 5
• Holiday Coverage: Until January 9

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New Hampshire or Compact State
• 2-3 years of ICU experience; candidates with closer to 2 years must demonstrate strong competencies
• Strongly preferred: Experience in Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU); please highlight this on the resume
• Completion of an RN Skills Checklist relevant to specialty
• Familiarity with EMR systems; Cerner experience preferred but not required

Clinical Responsibilities

The incumbent is expected to provide care across various patient populations and may float to different units as needed. Responsibilities include:

• Managing patients on advanced equipment including balloon pumps, CRRT, and Impella
• Performing ICP monitoring and Arctic Sun or TTM management
• Utilizing Alaris pumps and rapid infuser technology

Floating and Unit Information

The nurse may be required to float to other units, including emergency department (ED) holds, step-down, and medical-surgical units. Candidates should be comfortable with floating to behavioral health as necessary.
